If you're a technical writer, and you haven't registered as a beta participant for what was formerly called Microsoft Office "12", I can only ask - why???

It's a revolutionary step forward in the way Office works. I've been working with it and writing productivity guides for our internal use since late last year, and I'm very impressed, and excited, about Microsoft's design decisions with this release.

Scoble points to Brian Jones blog on the subject. Brian is a project manager on the Office team, and he covers some of the innovations due out later this year.

If you would like to register for the Beta 2 release, now would be a good time to do it.
