You will be needing your site's RSS / XML feed to be placed in the mailing list's option screen. By default you will be able to choose a Blogspot-like template which, IMHO looks a bit too plain. But then what's to expect from default layhouts. I know that you can make you own templates or make your email look almost identical to your blog's layout but I haven't figured out how yet.
You can create a subscription button on your blog's page that allows readers to input their email address.
