Apple's link nomenclature
This post came about after I made a "wild guess" typing in a product URL for Apple's new Mac Pro.

I realized how easy it was to guess URLs for Apple products because they have it plain and simple. For instance:

http://apple.com/macpro
http://apple.com/mightymouse
http://apple.com/macbook

I typed these from memory. Though this may not necessarily be the job of a technical writer, it does help to make use of an easy-recall naming scheme instead of the old fashioned:

http://company.name/product/brand/model
