Technical Writers should burst into song
I mean why not, they are people too?

I've always found technical manuals with tidbits of comics, poetry and a joke here and there to be the most effective medium of conveying ideas.

zapp.JPGIf you've read Zapp! The Lightning of Empowerment by DDI Founder Bill Byham , you'd see my point. The book is all about empowering people in the workplace with proper usage of competencies, KRA's and evaluation techniques. The catch? Well, it masks itself into a short fantasy novel with business pointers to wrap up the salient points of the chapter.
