
One does not have to visit the Vatican Museum or any similar institution to view rather well-preserved examples of the Medieval writing form called Illumination. Surprisingly, one only need to put in the appropriate word in a search engine like Google and disover a wealth of information and data.
Having seen an actual example of Illumination in the Vatican Museum -- yes, it was a beautiful copy of the Bible -- the image of the page it was turned to forever imprinted itself in my sub-conscious. One day, I told myself, I would learn to do Illuminations.
Well, just a casual review of some of the more interesting sites available in the Internet, provide one with valuable leads, should one be bitten by a sudden and urgent urge to learn the art of Illumination.
