GOOD ENGLISH: ADVICE vs ADVISE

The simplest way to remember the proper usage of the two words above are:  ADVICE is a Noun, whereas ADVISE is a Verb.  One must not mix one up with the other.  Funny though that  a person who gives advice is called an "Advisor" with the letter "S." This is one of the many twisters of the  English language.

Thus, one would “advise” another in the proper usage of the English Language. This would be very good “advice” indeed!

The word ADVISE also means “to inform” in more formal English usage. When used in the context of business, the word “of” is sometimes left out.
