Her mother probably went shopping somewhere, an observation validated by her arrival with an armful of shopping bags. And our teenage girl kept up with her silly grin.
The cause of her happy disposition soon became clear. Her mother started looking at different computers, new LCD 17” screens, computer tables, AVRs and some models of the latest in UPS technology. She made her pick and got one of each item, causing her daughter to go all a-twitter. In the wake of a devastating typhoon, with a metropolis just beginning to get back on its feet, I saw a happy parent and a happier child truck their new complete personal computer system home on a trolly.
What a happy sight to behold in the midst of so much inconvenience! It gave me pause and consider how good life can be even when things seem to go wrong.
