In everyday usage, the word has come to mean any of the following: Acclaim, Praise, Glory, Fame, and even, awkwardly, Congratulations.  The word KUDOS is derived from the Greek, with exactly the same meaning and spelling. Note: The word is always Singular, and must be used with the last letter s. This word is often used in the business world to show or give praise to a team or individual.

Unfortunately, many people see or hear the word so often that they use it in the wrong way or without knowing what it actually means. Hopefully, this little piece will help those who grope in the use of this word.
