Again, a bit of precision is required in the use of the two words, because they are polar opposites in a given transaction or exchange. In one case, the subject is the Giver (BENEFACTOR), whereas the object of such largesse would be the Receiver (BENEFICIARY). For example:
Anthony was the beneficiary of a substantial amount of money and property upon his 21st birthday. The Trust Fund in his name was established at his birth by his grandfather, who, as benefactor, wanted to ensure his only grandson a certain amount to be able to survive on upon reaching majority.
