RIGHT WORD: CAUSE vs REASON

sourced by JMJF

The word CAUSE deals with the origin of something, as in the First CAUSE or the Primary CAUSE in Creation. REASON, on the other hand, explains why something is the way it is.

Example: The CAUSE of the Lakers’ spate of losses last year was the inability or lack of desire by Kobe to pass the ball to his teammates.

Example: The REASON Kobe refuses to pass the ball in a game is his desire to win the game all by himself.
