As a blogger I am finding more and more ways to make my ads look attractive in order to garner a higher click rate. Not that I'm resorting to a blog sellout, but rather trying to make the signage look good - might as well, because you really can't lose anything by trying to look pretty. Here's a small example:
If you use AdSense, you may want to download the AdSense Beautifier plugin for WordPress that allows you to add cute doodads to your AdSense text ads and thus increase your clickthrough rate.
