Do you get actual writing done in a coffee shop?

Here's a question for you: do you really get to write when you're in a public place? I mean, really get to write?

I do. Sometimes. And then I start to realize how I can say exactly the same thing if I'm working from the home. The main difference is I'm shelling out several dollars for the coffee outside while the coffee at home is free.

So it may be time to think about our temptation to go out and write ... it may feel better to go to Starbucks to finish that book we're writing but at the end of the day, it's all the same, really.

What do you think?
