Okay, before I start to ramble I mean no harm in any way to Poetry.com. They're a great site and I encourage them to publish their members' works and even encourage people to upload their work.

So I used to submit to Poetry several years ago in hopes that I would get published. In fact I had received multiply snail mail from them saying "Congratulations! You're gonna be published in a book!"
Of course, any person would be flattered to have his or her work published in a hard bound coffee table book to show off to family and friends. Now the idea of feeding on your pride to make a small profit isn't a new thing. In fac, it's the motivating force for most marketing campaigns. It's just really interesting how me and my friends always get these mail messages during those times. We were starting to think that everyone gets published! And you know what, it may be true!
