There is an interesting link over at Lifehacker (come to think of it, almost everything is interesting over there) that talks about the placeless office, also known as the mobile office. But this means that the mobile office isn't just a cowboy solo - it goes for all you freelancers or Entrepreneurs-in-Action who are always out yet need to meet at the end of the day to collaborate and talk about the fun experiences you all witnessed.
You can follow the link over here to view some of these applications. Campfire seems to be the most interesting of the bunch. And Gmail? Is that still a tool? I consider it a staple!
